Mendoza is the fourth exporting province of the Argentine Republic. It has four productive oases of 800,000 ha, suitable for cultivation; 545,000 systematized ha for irrigation, and 282,000 ha are cultivated at present. Besides, the province uses quality management systems for its productive processes. The primary sector has achieved a significant reactivation which has boosted the industrial sector reactivation.

As a strategy for its development, Mendoza relies on the foreign market and presents an advantage of the relative price, a fact that increases competitiveness. Furthermore, among other characteristics, it offers strategic planning, fiscal order, economic order, legal security, and institutional permanence and quality.

The new macroeconomic situation of Argentina favors the production of tradable goods, being these sectors the ones that have given dynamism to the Mendoza’s economy in the last years. The high price of the dollar has notably improved the profitability of these sectors, which caused most of the private investments announced in Mendoza in the last one and a half year to be aimed at these sectors.
